The First Photo
The first photograph was made in 1826. This photo was made in France. It was made by Joseph Nicephore Niepc. The first photograph has been on display at the Harry Ransom Center in Austin, Texas since 2010. I don't think the way it looks is very impressive. It is impressive however that it has survived this long to still be on display in a museum.
